Bitesize-Exercise offers simple exercises that can be done at home or at the desk without the need for special equipment or gym clothing.

The clear and easy-to-follow video clips show real people wearing ordinary clothes demonstrating achievable exercises. There is a clearly spoken voice-over in English and a short bullet point list as a reminder of the key watch points. The exercises are appropriate for all levels of fitness ability, even beginners. There are no complicated forms to fill in before starting. Guidelines are given about how many repetitions per exercise are recommended.

These exercises include stretching to improve flexibility, especially for the shoulders, arms, wrists and fingers – areas that can get very stiff for those sitting at a computer for any length of time.

At present there are no structured programmes included in this app. This allows the individual freedom to choose the most appropriate exercises for their needs.

The app was compiled by a professional personal trainer who is also qualified in clinical massage therapy and has a deep understanding of the function, movement and connectivity of the muscles, joints and fascia within the body.
